OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

REQUEST FOR SOLUTIONS REVISION – Posted on 30 July 2026

The Government has revised the RFS for the Next Generation Hypersonics for the Department of War opportunity. This RFS is hereby revised as Rev 1, and replaces all previous versions, to update CMMC requirements, Section C Security Information & Restrictions, and phase 2 down select language, as redlined. Additional administrative revisions include correcting the numbering sequence in the Project Deliverables on page 5 and adding a non-Government advisor on the final page. All other terms remain unchanged. This RFS Revision (Rev 1) retrieval will follow the same initial CUI request process utilizing the associated CUI Link here.

Please note: If you have already requested and received the CUI documents, you do not need to request access again. The new revised RFS CUI document will be sent to you; please be on the lookout.

The Government has released the Request for Solutions (RFS) for the Next Generation Hypersonics for the Department of War opportunity. The RFS is labeled CUI. To access the RFS and accompanying attachments please fill out this form.

Coming Soon Notice – Posted 2 June 2026

The Department of War, in partnership with Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, is preparing to release a commercial opportunity focused on development and demonstration of advanced next generation hypersonic capabilities. This effort will explore innovative approaches supporting integration, maturation, and demonstration of prototype hypersonic systems.

The goal of this prototype initiative is to mature and demonstrate integrated prototype capabilities supporting future operational applications.

Key Areas of Interest include:

1. Hypersonic system integration approaches
2. Payload, booster, and mission systems integration
3. Modular and scalable system architectures
4. Prototype development, testing, and flight demonstration capabilities
5. Advanced manufacturing and production readiness approaches
6. Technical solutions supporting system maturation and operational transition

This effort will support advancement of next generation hypersonic technologies through prototype development, system integration, and demonstration activities. The prototype development period of performance for resulting Other Transaction Authority (OTA) awards will be finalized following release of the Request for Solutions (RFS) and based on the proposed technical approach and performer timelines.
