COMING SOON NOTICE

Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is seeking prototype solutions to increase the operational reliability of an Radio Frequency (RF) Output Travelling Wave Tube (OTWT) High Voltage Power Supply Group (HVPS), while also seeking to enhance the repairability, maintainability, and affordability of the asset. The result of this effort will be to design and prototype a form/fit/function replacement of the current RF OTWT High Voltage Power Supply Group (High Voltage Power Supply, Transformer Rectifier, Driver Control/Power Processor). The Navy desires a HVPS that addresses the current reliability issues. The desired cost-effective solution must also be maintainable and repairable. The HVPS currently has very limited capability to repair or remove/replace faulty components due to inefficient circuit layout and excessive use of potting material. The current HVPS Group also does not have adequate self-protections to prevent damage to itself nor prevent cascading failures to related Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs).

The OTWT_HVPS Other Transaction Authority (OTA) prototype project will be defined by the performer’s proposed schedule but is estimated within a 24-month period for the entire effort.
