Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) SBIRS Sensor Specific Processing (SSP)

Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) SBIRS Sensor Specific Processing (SSP) is a 9-month competitive prototype that plans to award to (2) teams under SpEC and will conclude with a down-select of one (1) or both contractor teams that will perform the follow-on SBIRS SSP effort. This Prototype competition will assess the Contractor’s proposed OPIR SSP application architecture, their ability to create applications that will perform both calibration of the SBIRS data and determine Line-of-Sight for the calibrated data, and their ability to host those applications on the Government-provided FORGE framework. The SSP capabilities will initially be prototyped for the SBIRS Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO) sensors, but must ultimately support the SBIRS Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) Scanner and Starer sensors (all modes).
