Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB) 2.0

S²MARTS Project No. 24-02

INDUSTRY DAY

April 23-24, 2024 ┃Location: WestGate Academy

Join S²MARTS at WestGate Academy for the highly anticipated MACH-TB 2.0 Industry Day! The MACH-TB 2.0 project will expand upon the current efforts to provide an affordable bridge between ground testing of low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) technologies and full system flight testing of high TRL technologies. This approach will reduce overall hypersonic development risks and provide rapid transition of innovative hypersonic technologies to the warfighter through the MACH-TB experiment stakeholders.

Register for the Industry Day here MACH-TB 2.0 Industry Day Registration

Important Note This is an in-person only event with limited seating, Registration closes on April 12 or when all seats are claimed, whichever occurs first.

COMING SOON NOTICE

The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division and the Department of Defense are initiating the MACH-TB 2.0 agreement to take the precursor MACH-TB 1.0 agreement test bed from design and concept demonstration to full flight test capacity in FY25.

MACH-TB 1.0 provided design, development, and concept demonstration of a modular open system architecture with multiple launch vehicle capabilities to meet the hypersonic flight test needs of over 60 stakeholders including DoD organizations, laboratories, and academia. The primary purpose of the test-bed is to demonstrate technologies in hypersonic weapon system key focus areas; including alternate navigation, sensors, in flight communications, lethality, survivability, technology miniaturization, and more. This initial effort funded 25+ flight tests and the creation a hypersonic boost glide test-bed with an experimental modular glide vehicle, and defined payload user guides outlining common interfaces to streamline payload-to-launch vehicle integration. With modularity and reduced integration complexity, MACH-TB 2.0 will bring hypersonic flight testing to the next level of capacity and test bed utilization.

The MACH-TB 2.0 Other Transaction Authority (OTA) prototype project will be defined by the performer’s proposed schedule but is estimated within a 60-month period for the entire effort.
