NSTXL Success is an ongoing series of stories that highlight some of the innovative work that we’ve done with our valued government clients, members, and partners.
Problem: The government expected only five traditional companies to compete for a major OSD effort and had less than 60 days to market the solicitation to others.
Solution: NSTXL deployed its entire team. Our tech scouts exhibited at the largest commercial industry conferences, our marketing team blanketed social and traditional media with the solicitation, and we leveraged our Community platform to instigate teaming.
Outcome/Metrics: More than 3,000 unique innovators reviewed the solicitation, leading to 20 qualified proposals. This included 8 responses with non-traditionals as the prime performer and remaining respondents with robust teams containing non-traditionals who were significantly involved. With so many competitive proposals, the program office de-risked the program by awarding smaller projects to 6 vendors. The program office is currently using this intel to inform its down select for Phase 2.
