Sandia Synergizing with Commons: Sandia, which ‘has the government’s largest and deepest semiconductor capability’, is facilitating collaboration on critical programs like hypersonics and the CHIPS and Science Act. One example of this is their lead partnership with the SWAP Hub, one of Microelectronics Commons hubs working on spurring new investment and jobs in microelectronics.
These partnerships provide Sandia researchers with access to academic expertise and talent, aiding in the development of key technologies. The network’s success is attributed to dedicated campus partnership managers who connect Sandia with universities and facilitate collaboration on various projects, including securing funding and advancing research.
